The Garage Sale Trail is a national day of simultaneous garage sales that’s about making sustainability fun and creative! By organising communities around Australia to hold garage sales on the same day, the event aims to enable new neighbourly connections, provide a platform for fundraising, inspire creativity, stimulating local economies, promote the reuse of materials and keep stuff out of landfill.
This year to support schools taking part in the Garage Sale Trail, we have produced classroom-ready teaching resources to engage students in content learning. These resources cover all year levels, from Early Learning to Year 10 and are mapped to the Australian Curriculum.
Additional materials in the digital toolbox bring a greater depth and richness to existing learning activities. These include Cool TV, pictures, fact sheets, articles and news that are designed to entertain and inform at every turn. Brilliant for projects, research and further learning.
